Welcome to the first digital issue of Indiana Tech Magazine! As a university dedicated to helping our students succeed in the global 21st century society, Indiana Tech continually seeks ways to innovate and develop better connections with the world around us. Our university communications, including Indiana Tech Magazine, play an important role in this effort.

This digital edition of Indiana Tech Magazine has been created to harness the many opportunities that today’s communication environment provides. Embedded video allows us to tell richer stories that add depth to our subjects, as do links to more information on the Indiana Tech website and other places online. The format makes it easy to view, no matter how you prefer to consume information—on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. And, all of the content is easy to share. With links to email, like and repost on social media, it takes just one click to share all of your favorite stories with fellow alums, friends, family and colleagues.

I’m confident you’ll find much to like in this issue. Take time to view the video and photos that provide a wonderful recap of our best day of the year, commencement day. Learn more about Indiana Tech’s plans for the future, and the adoption of our newly developed strategic plan by our Board of Trustees. Read about our trailblazing first female graduate, Anna Reid, this year celebrating the 60th anniversary of her graduation. Catch up on all that is new with our students and our faculty in our Academic Roundup and Faculty Update features, and hear all about fellow alums in the Alumni Updates and Alumni Spotlight stories.

I hope you will enjoy reading this issue of Indiana Tech magazine as much as we have enjoyed creating it. Each year, our summer issue will be produced digitally, while our fall and spring issues will continue to be published in our traditional print format. Let us know how we’re doing and please share story ideas and your own news with us.

Stay connected with all things Indiana Tech in person, too. Join us in Fort Wayne on Sept. 16, for the 29th annual TWIST golf outing, which benefits student scholarships and athletics here at Tech. Homecoming 2018 is also just a few weeks away! Join us here on campus September 27-29 to catch up with old friends and make new ones along the way. Visit www.indianatech.edu/alumni for more details on each of these terrific events.

Thank you for your interest in Indiana Tech and for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Karl W. Einolf Signature
