MEET-UP@5 Alumni Events

Meet-up at 5

This spring we kicked off our MEET-UP@5 series of alumni events in Miami, Cincinnati, Dallas, Mishawaka, Warsaw, Indianapolis, and Fort Wayne. It was a terrific start to what we hope will become a fun, long-term way for alumni to get together across the country. If you are interested in helping to host an event in your area, reach out alumni@indianatech.edu and we can explore the options. In fact, I am looking for a few alumni in the Atlanta area to help with an October event Let me know if you are interested.

Below is our current MEET-UP schedule. To keep up to date on these events, watch for our new alumni e-newsletter, which will be distributed around the middle of each month. You can also follow Indiana Tech Alumni on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Eventbrite. When you follow Indiana Tech Alumni Events on Eventbrite, you will receive alerts when registrations open for upcoming events. If you prefer to contact us directly to sign up for events, you can do so by email alumni@indianatech.edu.

TWIST XXXIV

It is time to TWIST again at Chestnut Hills Golf Club! Registration for our annual alumni/student golf outing is open.

TWIST is an Indiana Tech tradition started by former professor Walter Trask and current professor Dr. Jeffrey Walls. The outing began as a networking event to teach students about the game of golf as well as the business exchange that often happens on the course. Over the years, the tournament has grown significantly. The event aims to involve faculty, staff, alumni, community leaders and, of course, students in a relaxed game of golf. Proceeds from this event benefit the Moore/Trask Scholarship, the Indiana Tech golf team and the Alumni Scholarship Award.

We look forward to seeing you on the links!

Homecoming 2023 is Oct. 6-7

Homecoming celebrations are just around the corner. Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, we invite you to be a part of Homecoming 2023. It’s an occasion that bridges the gap between generations and showcases the strong bonds that unite all members of our Warrior community. We hope you can join us on Friday, Oct. 6, and Saturday Oct. 7.

Below are a few important highlights, but you can find the full schedule on the Homecoming 2023 website.

NEW this year, the Orange Out Hockey Tail Gate. Starting at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6 at the Parkview Ice House, alumni and their guests can mix, mingle and get ready to cheer on the men’s hockey team. Free appetizers, a free t-shirt and a cash bar will be available at this orange-out event! The tailgate will be inside the arena on the second level.

NEW this year, Party on the Square KID ZONE. On Saturday, Oct. 7, from 12 -3 p.m., everyone can experience eating like a student in the cafeteria and enjoy dessert from food truck, just like we do for student events. There will be inflatables, face painting, a scavenger hunt and other kid-friendly activities. The Rec Center will be open, too. You can also walk over to the baseball diamond or the turf field to catch some of an alumni game.

25, 50, and 60 year REUNIONS. Festivities for the classes of 1963, 1973 and 1998 will start with a welcome reception on Friday afternoon. There are options for campus tours, a hospitality area and meet and greet with our engineering faculty. Reconnect with old friends and classmates! These reunion classes will also receive a special invitation to the President’s Dinner on Friday Oct. 6.  On Saturday Oct. 7, we offer a prayer service and time to connect with each other in the morning. At noon we meet for the highlight of the day—The Reunion Luncheon! Alumni and their guest will receive a served meal as we present our special classes with their awards and honor them individually. Contact alumni@indianatech.edu to register for your reunion events.

Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony, Saturday, Oct. 7: During this year’s ceremony, we will honor the 2013 men’s and women’s track and field teams, former basketball standout, DeNisha Gray, and former baseball standout, Brandon Alger. Tickets are available on the Hall of Fame website. Learn more about these amazing athletes Indiana Tech Warriors website.
