Good day to you, Warrior Nation! My name is Darius Darling and I am president of Indiana Tech’s Alumni Association.

Many of you may know me from your time at Tech as I was pretty visible on campus for nearly a decade. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in sport management in 2014, I earned a Master of Business Administration in 2017 and I worked at the university from 2014 to 2019 as a student life program coordinator and as assistant director of conference services and special events.

Needless to say, Indiana Tech holds a place near and dear to my heart. It played a pivotal role in my development as a professional and a person. I made countless friends, met so many interesting people and learned so many valuable lessons during my time there. I am proud to call myself a Warrior!

That’s why I am so happy to be president of the Alumni Association. This multi-generational group of dedicated alumni was assembled to foster connections between alumni, students and the university and create long-lasting relationships that positively impact Indiana Tech now and in the future.

You can join in on the fun and fulfilling work by volunteering to be a member of our Alumni Outreach Committee or our Student Outreach Committee. These committees are responsible for creating engagement opportunities with their respective populations. We are looking to build solid teams so that we can assure the longevity of the connections that the Alumni Association helps to foster.

If you are interested in volunteering on one of these committees, please reach out to me today at alumni@indianatech.edu.

Now, on to important information about Homecoming Weekend 2024.

This year, in addition to our 25-year and 50-year reunion classes, we are excited to introduce the Off-Campus Reunion Kickback Lounge for our 10-year and 15-year reunion classes. It will be a great opportunity to get together and reminisce on the good times and enjoy the company of our classmates. I’m excited because it has been 10 years since I graduated, and I am looking forward to seeing my classmates again. So much has changed in that time for all of us, personally and professionally, and I’m excited to engage with everyone again.

So, in closing, I invite all Indiana Tech alumni—every class and every generation—to get involved with your university and stay connected to the Warrior Nation. The best way is to join an Alumni Association committee. If you can’t do that, attend an Alumni Association event like “Meet-up@5,” a regional alumni gathering and/or homecoming activities.

I hope to see you out and about very soon.

Sincerely,

Darius D. Darling
Indiana Tech Alumni Association President
