In the spring, Indiana Tech’s Office of Institutional Advancement welcomed Matt Rowan as a senior director of institutional advancement. His role in the department is to connect and build partnerships with donors to help current and future Indiana Tech students.

“Indiana Tech has been able to provide a world-class educational experience for our students thanks to the generosity of loyal alumni and friends. These supporters believe in our mission of preparing learners for career advancement and leadership for a global 21st century, while guiding them toward lives of significance and worth,” Matt said. “It has been a privilege working with our donors to help them dream big and satisfy their call to make the world a better place.”

Raised in Fort Wayne, Matt attended Homestead High School before graduating from DePauw University. He and his wife, Ginny, have four children, and are active at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in southwest Fort Wayne.

In his free time, Matt enjoys attending his children’s little league baseball games, swim meets and marching band competitions. He is a proud Eagle Scout and volunteers at his son’s Boy Scout troop.

In his career, Matt has worked for the University of Saint Francis, Trine University and the Boy Scouts of America.

“Matt really enjoys meeting with our alumni, listening to their stories and learning about how Indiana Tech has been instrumental in their lives,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Dan Grigg. “We are delighted to have Matt be part of our institutional advancement team and Indiana Tech.”
