Summer is always welcome here in the Midwest, giving us an extended break from the gray skies and chilly temperatures of winter. It’s also a time when many at Indiana Tech refresh and recharge, getting ready for the next class session, the next semester, the next season in competition and more.

Still, though summer is a quiet time of year for many universities, our community knows there’s always something happening at Indiana Tech. Students in our online programs around the region and the country continue in their classes throughout this time of year, with the dedicated support of our faculty and staff. Main campus continues to bustle with tours for prospective students, and camps like our high school STEM Camp, our middle school Build+Learn Camp and a myriad of sports camps. Construction continues apace on the Zollner Engineering Expansion and Renovation project, getting ready to open for classes this fall. While we look forward to the start of the new academic year, we also celebrate the accomplishments of our latest graduates in our commencement feature story. This past May, we honored those earning graduate degrees in a ceremony in the Schaefer Center on main campus, and those earning undergraduate degrees at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. As part of our feature, you can also learn more about those students honored as outstanding in each of our degree programs and in our three colleges for 2022.

This fall, I hope to see all of you at the many special events taking place here at Tech. Learn more about our annual TWIST golf outing, Homecoming and Family & Friends Weekend, the 2022 Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony and more in our story on fall special events. New this year will be the gala celebration of our Building a Century of Excellence Campaign, which will take place during the annual President’s Dinner event on Sept. 30.  Launched in 2019 with a leadership giving phase, Building a Century of Excellence seeks to enable Indiana Tech to better serve our students as they prepare for careers in an increasingly competitive, global job market and build lives of significance and worth.

Thanks to a wide range of generous supporters, this impactful fundraising initiative has already raised over $22,500,000 of its $26,235,000 five-year goal. The Building a Century of Excellence gala will celebrate the campaign’s success to date, and help continue the momentum towards reaching the overall campaign goal.
